The Ranch Membership is an opportunity to step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in a world of horses, adventure, nature and connection.

More than just a riding experience, this is your chance to become part of a community of horse lovers who share a passion for learning, exploring and creating unforgettable memories with horses.

Set amongst the spectacular wilderness of the Clarence Valley, The Ranch on Clarence offers a unique opportunity to spend regular weekends surrounded by our exceptional herd of Andalusians, Friesian Sport Horses, Warlanders and other carefully selected breeds.

Membership Weekends are held on the first weekend of every month, with members arriving Friday afternoon and departing Sunday afternoon.

What Your Membership Includes

Horsemanship Workshops

Develop your confidence and deepen your connection with horses through practical, hands-on learning.

Work alongside our horses and learn:

  • Groundwork and communication skills

  • Building trust and partnership

  • Horse behaviour and understanding

  • Safe and confident handling techniques

  • Developing your feel and timing with horses

Each weekend offers opportunities to grow your skills and create a stronger partnership with your horse.

Wilderness Trail Riding

Experience the freedom of riding through some of Northern NSW's most beautiful country.

Explore forest trails, open landscapes and the Clarence River on horseback. Depending on weather and river conditions, experience the magic of bareback swimming with the horses.

Ride, explore and reconnect with nature in a way that only horses can provide.

Troopy Horse Safari

Experience one of The Ranch's signature adventures.

Travel with the herd as we head into their natural environment, help call in the horses from the bush and witness their unique personalities and social dynamics.

This is more than a ride — it is an opportunity to experience the horses as a herd and connect with them on a deeper level.

Country Pub Ride Experience

A true Australian country adventure.

We load the horses into the truck and travel to a local country pub. After unloading and saddling up, we ride through the surrounding countryside before arriving with our horses tied proudly to the hitching rail.

Enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional country pub, relax with a drink or meal, then ride back before loading the horses and returning to The Ranch.

A memorable experience that captures the spirit of country life.

Community Adventures

Throughout the year, members may join us as we head out to local equestrian events and country adventures, including:

  • Campdrafts

  • Endurance rides

  • Agricultural shows

  • Community horse events

These outings allow members to experience the wider horse community together.

Campfire Connections

The Ranch Membership is about more than horses — it is about people and connection.

Enjoy relaxed evenings around the campfire, share stories and spend time with like-minded people who love horses and the outdoors.

Members are welcome to participate in shared dining experiences by bringing their own food and drinks to contribute.

Food, meals and beverages are not included in the membership price. Members are responsible for providing their own meals, snacks and drinks throughout their stay.

Accommodation

Accommodation is booked separately through Hipcamp to meet insurance requirements.

The Ranch Bunkhouse

Our rustic shared bunkhouse sleeps up to 9 guests and provides a comfortable base for your Membership Weekend.

Wake up surrounded by horses, nature and the peaceful sounds of country life.

Camping Options

Enjoy the beauty of The Ranch with a range of camping options throughout the property, including stunning wilderness and river locations.

Accommodation is an additional cost and is not included in the Membership fee.

Optional Extras

  • Private riding lessons — $150 per hour

  • Additional camping nights through Hipcamp

  • Bunkhouse accommodation through Hipcamp (subject to availability)

Our Horses

Members will have the opportunity to ride our beautiful herd including:

  • Andalusians

  • Friesian Sport Horses

  • Warlanders

  • Stock Horses

  • Other exceptional breeds

Our horses have been carefully selected for their temperament, versatility and willingness, allowing members to develop confidence and create genuine partnerships with some truly special horses.

Important Information

  • Membership Weekends are held on the first weekend of every month.

  • Members arrive Friday afternoon and depart Sunday afternoon.

  • Accommodation is booked separately through Hipcamp.

  • Food and drinks are not included.

  • Members provide their own meals and personal requirements.

  • An active Equestrian Australia membership is required for all riders and must remain current throughout your membership.

  • Places are limited to ensure a personalised experience.

  • Membership includes scheduled Ranch Membership Weekend activities. Additional events, excursions and off-property adventures may incur additional fees.

Additional Adventures & Events

Throughout the year, members may have the opportunity to join The Ranch on outings to local equestrian and country events, including campdrafts, endurance rides, agricultural shows and other community events.

These experiences are an exciting part of being involved with The Ranch community; however, participation may involve additional costs depending on the event.

Additional fees may apply to cover expenses such as event entry fees, transport, fuel, horse preparation and other associated costs.

Details and pricing will be provided prior to each event so members can choose which adventures they would like to participate in.

Terms & Conditions

  • Memberships are valid for 6 or 12 months from activation date.

  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • The Ranch on Clarence reserves the right to suspend or cancel memberships where safety policies or Ranch guidelines are not followed.
