Terms and Conditions
Howdy Folks!
Thank you for booking with The Ranch on Clarence. We can't wait to welcome you for an unforgettable Australian ranch experience on horseback.
Ride Departure
Unless otherwise advised, all rides depart from:
The Ranch on Clarence
9995 Clarence Way
Louisa Creek NSW 2469
Please arrive on time for your scheduled ride to allow time for check-in, paperwork, helmet fitting, meeting your horse and your safety briefing.
Please note: If you arrive late, your ride will still finish at the scheduled time. Time lost due to late arrival cannot be added to the end of your ride. If you arrive too late to safely join the ride, your booking may be forfeited.
Rider Weight
For the welfare of our horses, riders should generally weigh 95 kg or less. As a guide, the combined weight of the rider and tack should not exceed approximately 20% of the horse's body weight.
We do have a limited number of larger horses available for riders over this weight. If you weigh more than 95 kg, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether we have a suitable horse available.
Rider Information
Please complete this Rider Information Form honestly and accurately.
Every horse is individually matched to each rider based on height, weight, riding experience and confidence to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for both horse and rider.
Providing inaccurate information may result in your ride being cancelled if we are unable to safely accommodate you.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Every ride at The Ranch on Clarence requires significant preparation well before your arrival. Each horse is individually selected for its rider, then caught from the paddocks, fed, groomed and saddled specifically for your booking. We also prepare equipment, guides and reserve your saddle seat exclusively for you.
As places are limited, once your booking is confirmed we often turn away other guests.
For these reasons, all bookings are final, non-refundable and non-transferable.
If, in exceptional circumstances, The Ranch on Clarence agrees to transfer a booking to another date, it must be used within 12 months of the original booking date and is subject to availability.
Bookings are not transferable to another person unless approved in writing by The Ranch on Clarence.
If The Ranch on Clarence cancels an experience due to unsafe weather, flooding, bushfire, dangerous river conditions or any other circumstance beyond our control, you will be offered the choice of:
Transferring your booking to another available date; or
Receiving a credit towards a future experience.
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Safety
Horse riding is an adventure activity involving inherent risks.
By completing this booking you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all instructions given by The Ranch on Clarence team at all times.
Approved riding helmets must be worn while mounted.
Riders must wear enclosed shoes or riding boots.
The Ranch on Clarence reserves the right to refuse participation without refund if a rider behaves in an unsafe manner or provides inaccurate information that could compromise the safety of themselves, other guests or our horses.
Life at The Ranch
One of the most special parts of visiting The Ranch on Clarence is sharing the landscape with our beautiful free-roaming horses and other much-loved farm animals.
This is their home, and we invite you to enjoy the privilege of experiencing ranch life alongside them. We simply ask that everyone helps us maintain a calm, respectful and safe environment for both people and animals.
Please remember:
DO NOT feed the horses or any other animals. Our horses are on carefully managed diets and unsuitable food can make them seriously unwell.
For your safety, please do not feed horses while they are together as a herd. Even the quietest horses may become excited around food, crowd people or compete with one another, creating a potentially dangerous situation.
During some experiences you may be invited to help feed the horses under the supervision of The Ranch team. Please wait for our guidance.
Allow our horses to approach you in their own time and always respect their personal space.
Please do not run, scream, chase or deliberately startle horses or other animals.
Children are always welcome but must remain under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Please respect our fences, gates, gardens, equipment, wildlife and facilities.
Personal dogs are not permitted on the property unless prior written approval has been given.
Our horses are treasured members of our ranch family. Thank you for helping us create a peaceful environment where both people and animals can relax, connect and enjoy this very special place together.
Photography
The Ranch on Clarence may take photographs or videos during your experience for promotional purposes.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please let us know before your ride begins.
For safety reasons, mobile phones and cameras must not be used while mounted unless permission has been given by your guide.
We Look Forward to Meeting You!
Thank you for supporting our horses, our team and our small family-run ranch.
If you have any questions before your visit, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
We can't wait to share the magic of The Ranch on Clarence with you and introduce you to our wonderful horses. 🤠🐎
